To be able to share expertise from across UWTSD and engage everyone at our fantastic new campus really helps us to bring to life the sense of community and support we pride ourselves on in Social Justice & Inclusion.”

At the heart of UWTSD’s Social Justice and Inclusion Discipline is the ethos of equality, social justice and inclusion. This is for students who:

  • are interested in issues around equality and social justice;
  • are interested in social theory and social policy, and wish to combine that with placement opportunities to enhance their working practices;
  • want to challenge disadvantage and strengthen their communities
  • want to work to support potentially vulnerable people in a range of public and voluntary settings

A large discipline located within Yr Athrofa, The Institute of Education, students engage in a range of academic studies across a number of campuses as well as within the wider community at both undergraduate and postgraduate level. An understanding of how society works and how our social structures such as the children, family, learning and community are organised are vital for any aspiring social scientist who seeks a fulfilling career that can develop both individual as well as social ambitions.

社会公正和包含促进知识、understanding and engagement with key significant societal issues and values both within a historical and a contemporary context. In this way we can ensure that our graduates possess the knowledge and skills to enable them to successfully achieve as active citizens within a global and sustainable community.
