Nick said the support he had received at UWTSD from his tutors was second to none and was now looking forward to spending time with his family before embarking on the next step of his career.

He said: "During my four years of study at UWTSD I have thoroughly enjoyed myself. From day one I felt welcomed and met various students from different backgrounds on different courses where we become good friends and supported each other year after year.

“The Tutors are second to none, they will go out of their way to help and assist with any problems or issues whether it be directly related to studies or indirectly such as personal issues, their knowledge and experience within their fields is brilliant and there is not one question or problem they could not solve. I have to say a big thank you to all staff at UWTSD for their hard work over the last few years, moving to a completely new building - then 18 months later having to deal with the Covid-19 crisis most certainly kept them on their toes.

“Currently I am enjoying some time off with the family, but I do have work opportunity with a local company involving developing and producing products for the equine dental industry."

UWTSD’s Gaynor Thomas, senior lecturer at the University’s Wales Institute of Science and Art said: “I am delighted to see Nick achieving First Class Honours. He was one of the first students to come via our Foundation Year route which was founded in 2016 to assist those wishing to change career or to gain access to Higher Education. He has been an exemplary student and I wish him well for the future.”
