Tourism, Events and Hospitality Courses

I chose to study travel tourism because the only thing interested me was travelling and discovering new destinations and what they offered to their tourists.

唯一的实地考察我在大学是Malaysia - I don’t think I ever would have travelled to Kuala Lumpur/Penang so to get that opportunity was amazing. But then to get the chance to see sights and visit an organisation that I would never have gotten the opportunity to if I was travelling by myself I am so grateful eg going to AirAsia’s offices.

I did my placement in Canada. I worked the front desk and it was the best experience of my life. Through UWTSD I’ve got a job offer from The Little Nell Hotel in Aspen, Colorado to work on their food and beverage team.

The lecturers at the uni are great, they really make an effort to get to know you as an individual and help you out in whatever way they can. Because they get to know you personally they push you to get the best results possible and for me personally, they’ve given me career opportunities for when I’ve finished, not very many universities and lecturers are as hands on.
