I provide specialist support for the learning and teaching activities of the Institute of Education and Humanities in Swansea. As part of the Academic Liaison Team I develop curriculum focused digital and information literacy skills, provide resources support and advice for the design, planning, validation, delivery and review of Yr Athrofa courses and programmes.

I support students and staff in the use of library resources including the use of academic databases, accessing online resources, search skills and literature searching via taught sessions, one-to-one appointments, drop-in or email.

I am also responsible for developing communication and links between UWTSD libraries and those of our partner colleges.

After completing my MA in Library and Information Studies, I began my professional career as an Assistant Librarian at the University of Reading. After five years I moved to Swansea as a Senior Assistant Librarian. Following a break to focus on family life, I returned to work in Swansea Metropolitan University now UWTSD as a Subject Librarian for business programmes. In 2015, I moved to Townhill campus to support the education programmes based there. In 2017, I became an Academic Liaison Librarian, and now support undergraduate and taught postgraduate programmes offered by the Institute of Education and Humanities, based in SA1.

My professional interests include advocacy and engagement, learning processes and student support.
