Cultural Programme

During the summer school, the cultural excursions can vary depending on what the host institution would like to see and where they would like to go.

The cultural programme can be adapted in whichever way the overseas institution would like, provided the excursions can fit into the schedule. The cultural programme usually include trips to places such as; Tintern Abbey, a Roman fortress, Llansteffan Castle, Cardiff, the capital of Wales, Dylan Thomas' Boathouse & Writing Shed, Bath. Big Pitt is always a favourite, the opportunitiy to go down a real coal mine in Wales. Many summer programmes include a few days visit to London before or after the summer school has commenced.

All trips are guided excursions by international office staff and current UWTSD students who volunteer as international buddies.
